Emily McEwan, DNP, FNP-BC
Emily McEwan, DNP, FNP-BC is a Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered dermatologic care. As a New Jersey native, she is proud to care for patients in the community she calls home and is dedicated to helping them feel healthy, confident, and comfortable in their own skin. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fairfield University before completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Rutgers University. Following graduate school, she pursued specialized training in dermatology through a formal preceptorship and extensive hands-on mentorship under the guidance of Dr. Michael Cosulich and Dr. Danielle Yeager. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages and treating a wide variety of skin conditions, with particular interests in acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and skin cancer detection and prevention. She also performs cosmetic procedures including Botox, microneedling, and laser treatments.
She was drawn to dermatology because of its unique ability to improve both a patient's health and confidence. She believes feeling comfortable in your own skin can meaningfully impact overall well-being. Her approach to care focuses on building lasting relationships with patients, providing thoughtful education, and creating individualized treatment plans rooted in the latest evidence-based medicine. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Nurses Association (ANA).,p>
Outside of the office, she enjoys staying active, making memories with family and friends, and spending time with her dog, Bear.
